Her profile picture would probably be one with her classic wide-eyed, deer-in-the-headlight look....
...or one with her beautiful, heart-melting smile!
Either way, we are glad that she is still too little for facebook accounts, texting, and twitter! Maybe when she is finally old enough for all of that, she will be better at keeping up with it than her parents! I have been slacking with the blog, so here are a bunch of pictures to catch up.
Sakora is getting very close to being able to sit up on her own. She can last a few seconds with no help, but then she starts crumpling, especially when she's looking for those scrumptious hands to snack on.
She is even big enough to ride around on my hip now!
Visitors galore! One of Kacey's best friend from college and his girlfriend came to visit a couple weeks ago and we had fun playing games and showing off Sakora.
We also had Kevin and Marla come visit, which was wonderful! Thanks to Kevin, I am now able to use our washing machine! Yay! Farewell Laundry Mat!
Well, our poor puppies have sadly been somewhat neglected since we brought Sakora home from the hospital, but I think they understand because they have had excellent behavior. They are about to finish their 3rd week of heart worm treatment which will put them almost half way through the rounds of medication (both Bear and Mighty tested postive several months ago....such is the destiny of a Delta dog!). Unfortunately, while the medicine is in their systems, they cannot run or play or do anything that would make their breathing heavy :(. So, for a total of 8 weeks, we have to have them quarentined in a small corner of the kitchen. I knew Bear would be thrilled. He loves staying inside and sleeping on his pillow all day. Mighty, on the other hand, has different ideas about how to spend his time. He would much rather be outside hunting squirrels and usually goes stir-crazy after only a few hours indoors. I thought for sure I would be listening to his desperate cries all day. But, praise the Lord!, he has been just fine and sleeps peacefully most of the day and all night! I think God knew I would feel soooo bad for him while simultaneously getting sooooo annoyed at his whinning that He divinely injected some sedative into Mighty's bloodstream.
In his boredom, Mighty has taken great interest in the ordinary...Here he is having lots of fun chewing on a massive icicle that Kacey broke off the side of our house. Not as good as a squirrel, but he'll take what he can get.

Mighty and Bear are such good buds and are always cuddling up on their big pillow. Poor Spanky is always the loner, but I get the feeling he prefers it that way.

And back to Sakora! I had to post a picture of her sleeping. This is how we find her everytime she's a sleep...hands raised above her head in complete surrender. Marla says she's "praising Jesus" :) More recently, she has started moving around in her crib. No matter where we set her, she ends up facing the opposite direction and is usually squashed in the corner. The very first time she started throwing her legs up, I heard her making some commotion and went in to investigate only to find she had managed to get her leg on top of the bumper and had her foot stuck between the spindles on the crib. Oh my! So, we had to move the bumper up and all has been well since then.

After her restful nights, she generally likes to get in a good workout. I told her she was still pretty young, but she insisted on starting her Pilates regiment. Every morning she does a set of crunches and really works it! Even gets the tongue going:)!
